What is it?
The Alarms page is where you define Rules and Event-triggers based on data from your monitored power lines. It is currently possible to define rules for temperature, current, sag, and clearance. This page lets you create, edit, and delete rules and event-triggers for whole lines and/or specified spans. The defined rules and triggers can be viewed on this page, and the triggered events and alarms can also be seen.
As mentioned previously, rules and triggers can be defined for whole lines, or specified spans (the line section between two transmission towers). Events can be of the four following types:
Thermal - Where the temperature of the line is monitored and triggered upon.
Current - Where the current flowing in the power line is monitored and triggered upon.
Clearance - Where the clearance (lowest distance between conductor and ground) is monitored and triggered upon.
Sag - Where the sag (the vertical difference in level between points of support and the lowest point of the conductor) is monitored and triggered upon.

How to use
Rules and Events can be used for multiple purposes;
Define rules and event-triggers to get notifications in-app and/or via SMS or email when a power line goes above or below a defined threshold. This will help the user quickly take action on severe alarms in the power grid or inform the user of events in the grid.
Rules and event-triggers can be defined to get statistics of, e.g., how many times your power line equipment has been loaded over/under a specified threshold. How many times the power line has been operated over/under a specified temperature. How many times the power line have had an excessive sag.
