What is it?

The Vibration page is where you can get an overview of the vibrations of the power line. The page contains one plot for each instrumented span of the line and information about the conductor's vibration and orientation.

Contents

Vibrations - plot: This plot shows the roll of the conductor (see figure 3) and the total vibrations of the conductor as a time series. The total vibrations are shown as gRMS, where g is the gravitational acceleration, and RMS states the sampling scheme. Roll is shown in degrees, stating the actual tilt of the conductor.

How to use

By using the Vibration page, you can get insight into the movement and forces working on the power line. This page is in a novel stage, but it is still possible to detect large events in this view.
