What is it?
Grid monitoring The grid view provides a birds-eye view of the DSOs overhead line network. By instrumenting the whole or parts of the grid, utilities a utility can monitor their critical line assets in real-time. The grid view is the first thing users you as a user see when they log in, and logging in. It is designed to provide users with an immediate overview over of the current status of their your line assets, helping you identify lines that need extra attention and critical span that demands relevant action.

The grid view consists of a map containing all line assets, where instrumented lines are distinguished by their weight and color . The legend can be opened to get an overview over map components and their map styledistinguish instrumented lines. Their weight tells you which grid-level the line belongs to, and the color tells of the active events on the line. Under normal operations, lines are green, but if an event occurs, the line turns yellow or red for the duration of the event, depending on its severity.

As a user, you can open the legend to get a list of the map components and their map style.
Lines on the map are interactive in several ways. Hovering over them will provide you with the latest load and temperature measurements from the line. This also allows you to navigate directly to the ((Line Monitoring Page)).

Likewise, hovering over a neuron provides you with the latest readings from that span, along with the Span ID and phase being monitored. Clicking on the neuron takes you directly to the ((span monitoring page))
The event - bar opens the complete event log, which contains all events generated by the system. New events are shown in the top bar and are highlighted in the event log with a 🔴 next to the event ID. An Once an event is ‘seen’ once it has been openedopened, the marker will disappear. If a new event occurs, users are immediately notified by e-mail or sms SMS, and values are printed alongside the line so they can identify the critical span and take relevant action.

How to use
The grid view is mainly designed for monitoring multiple line assets. At a glance, users can see when a line crosses a certain threshold, warning them before it sags excessively or damage occurs to the line.
Secondly, it is used for navigating between line assets and identifying spans that warrant further investigation.
By setting thoughtful rules on the ((Rules & Events page)), the grid view will become a dynamic and powerful tool for monitoring and gathering data about operations of power line assets.
