The user will be notified on this through either Heimdall Cloud, SMS, or E-mail. The user can then navigate to Heimdall Cloud to deep dive into the course of the event. How it worksThe Rules & Events page is where you define Rules based on data from your monitored power lines. It is currently possible to define rules for temperature, current, sag, clearance, ice load, DLR, and vibrations. This page lets you create, edit, and delete rules for whole lines and/or specified spans. You can view the defined rules on this page, together with the triggered events.Events have pre-defined time-delays & dead-bands. Time-delay means that the measured value has to be above the trigger value for a given time before creating an event. Dead-band means that the measured value has to go below the trigger value with the margin of the dead-band to deactivate the event. See the figure below on the right for a figurative explanation. If more than one span phase breaks the rule, only the one that violates the rule the most will be shown in the event. ** Asset Level: Span Phase means that events will be triggered for the span phase. If more than one span phase breaks the rule, there will be created one event for each violation. These rule-types can still be defined for lines, but each triggering will have its own event and the span phase that triggered it will be communicated through the respective event. How to useThe user can use rules and Events for multiple purposes;Define rules and event triggers to get notifications in-app and/or via SMS or email when a power line goes above or below a defined threshold. This will help you, as a user, to quickly take action on severe alarms in the power grid or inform you of events in the grid. You can define rules, and event triggers to get statistics of, e.g., how many times your power line equipment has been loaded over/under a specified threshold? How many times has the power line been operated over/under a specified temperature? How many times has the power line had an excessive sag? As mentioned previously, you can define rules for whole lines or specified spans. Events can be of the seven following types: Thermal - The temperature of the line is monitored and triggered upon. Current - The current flowing in the conductor is monitored and triggered upon. Clearance - The clearance (lowest distance between conductor and ground) is monitored and triggered upon. Sag - The sag (the vertical difference in level between points of support and the lowest point of the conductor) is monitored and triggered upon. Icing - The amount of ice load [kg/m] is monitored and triggered upon. Ampacity - Where the aggregated ampacity of a line is monitored and triggered upon.Vibration - Where the total vibrations of a span-phase is monitored and triggered upon. Contents Event LogThe event log contains the triggered events and alarms. Each alarm has a timestamp, color-coding, threshold value, trigger value, duration, and a custom specified comment. Rules and Event-triggers overviewThis overview contains all the specified rules and event-triggers. They are grouped by type (Thermal, Current, Clearance, Sag, Ice Load, and Ampacity), and clicking one of the types expands the type and shows all the defined rules. It is in this view that the user can create, edit, and delete rules. By pressing the "Add ned rule"-button for a respective rule type, the user can easily create a new rule and decide which values to trigger on, the criticality of events, and how the user should be notified. |
