How to useThe map view allows users to seamlessly navigate and monitor their power line assets. At a glance, users can: Monitor their power line assets in real-time.Get notified when a line crosses a certain threshold, warning them before it e.g. sags excessively or damage occurs to the line. Navigate between line assets and identifying spans that warrant further investigation. Evaluate if there are any communication issues with Neurons installed in their grid.Hover over instrumented power lines to view the latest measurements from that asset. By setting thoughtful rules on the Rules & Events page, the grid view will become a dynamic and powerful tool for monitoring and gathering data about the operation of power line assets. ContentsThe grid view consists of a map containing all line assets, where their weight and color distinguish instrumented lines. Their weight tells you which grid-level the line belongs to, and the color tells of the active events on the line. Under normal operations, lines are green, but if an event occurs, the line turns yellow or red for the duration of the event, depending on its severity. A green line has no active eventsA yellow line has an active warning eventA red line has an active critical event As a user, you can open the legend to get a list of the map components and their map style. LinesLines on the map are interactive in several ways. Hovering over them will provide you with the latest load, temperature, and DLR metrics from the line. This also allows you to navigate directly to the Line Monitoring Page. The map view will also indicate the communication status of the neurons. If one or more neurons on the line are not sending, this is clearly indicated near the line icon. Zooming further in on a line will reveal the individual measurement points along the line. Individual neurons that are not sending will be clearly marked with an icon.Clicking on the neuron takes you directly to the Span Monitoring Page. Lines that are monitored using Virtual sensors will only display DLR metrics on hover.The intra-hour DLR valueDLR compared to the lines valid static or seasonal line rating.On click for lines with Virtual sensors as well, the user will be navigated to the Line Monitoring page for the respective line. To learn more about Virtual sensors, click here. EventsThe event bar opens the complete event log, which contains all events generated by the system. New events are shown in the top bar and are highlighted in the event log with a red icon next to the event ID. Once an event is opened, the marker will disappear. If a new event occurs, users are immediately notified by e-mail or SMS if this is opted in by the user.If an event is clicked in the event log, the respective row will expand to show more detailed information about the event and the development before, during, and after the event of the monitored parameter. |
